  6. VerDisk checks floppy disks for errors. It is important to check
  7. destination disk is you are going to make a disk copy. Normal 
  8. formatting can handle disk errors with marking them bad. Disk 
  9. copy uses also these bad areas.

  12. INSTALLATION

  14. No installation required, just copy all the files into directory 
  15. of your choice and run verdisk.exe.

  25. SHAREWARE
  26. VerDisk is a Shareware program. You may use VerDisk on a thirty 
  27. (30) day trial basis only. If you use VerDisk past the 30 day 
  28. evaluation period you are required to purchase it. The registration 
  29. fee is only 5.00 US Dollars. You can send equivalent amount of money 
  30. in any freely exchangeable currency. Please don't send money orders 
  31. or checks. Registration removes the reminder screens and is valid 
  32. also for updates.

  44. HOW TO USE
  45.  
  46. Place disk in drive A and press the SCAN A or SCAN B buttons, 
  47. depending of drive you want to check. VerDisk begins scanning 
  48. the disk, showing a green bar on every good track. If an error 
  49. occurs VerDisk tries the same track again. When the second 
  50. attempt is successful the bar is yellow, when not, 
  51. the bar is red. Yellow bars arise usually from dust and may 
  52. disappear if you rescan the disk. Anyway be careful of the disk 
  53. and don't save nothing important on it.

  55. The scaning can be cancelled with pressing the STOP button.

  57. VerDisk only reads the disk and never writes to disk.

  62. VerDisk is copyrighted material. You may not make any changes or 
  63. modifications to VerDisk or this text. You may not decompile, 
  64. disassemble, or otherwise reverse-engineer the software in any way.

  79. charge a nominal distribution fee. The purchaser of said diskette must 
  80. be informed that the payment to the vendor covers only distribution 
  81. costs and does not include VerDisk itself.

  83. Operators of electronic bulletin board systems (Sysops) may post 
  84. VerDisk for downloading by their users only as long as the above 
  85. conditions are met.  A fee may be charged for access to the BBS as 
  86. long as no specific fee is charged for downloading VerDisk files.
